I'm a bit parky

Ever since I was a kid I've had a bit of a problem with my food. I love all the bad things and dislike all the good things (a wonder I'm still here and still have all my hair according to what my gran used to tell me!).

First day at work

One of the most traumatic times of my life was my first day at work. I had just left school, aged 15, at Easter, 1962. I left on the Friday and started work on the Monday, as far as I remember.
But that first day walking into the small factory - it was a printing works, actually and I was to serve my time as a compositor - was really scary.
